UPDATE ON ME

So hard to believe it's almost the end of January already !
A bit of an update on what's been happening to me lately.

Got my mammogram results - I am in the "normal" range - yeahh !!!!! (big grins). Now lets get on with the rest of 2009 with NO HEALTH WORRIES FOR ME !!!!

I celebrated my 51st birthday a couple of days ago - had a wonderful day -
Doug (my husband) has given me a Nintendo WII - Fitboard and Wii Fit program; also got Wii Sports. Then we got Wii Boogie program (singing and dancing) preowned. And Matt (my son) gave me Wii Carnival Games lol - so have LOTS to play with on my WII.

We have started to plan our vacation to the States for later on this year (June/July) to celebrate Dougs 50th birthday. Can't wait !!

DEDICATION

I want to dedicate these two songs to my Dad, who passed away three years ago today. Miss you every single day Dad - rest peacefully in Gods loving arms.
The Prayer - Andrea Bocelli
I pray you'll be our eyes, and watch us where we go.
And help us to be wise in times when we don't know.
Let this be our prayer, when we lose our way.
Lead us to a place, guide us with your grace
To a place where we'll be safe.
I pray we'll find your light,
And hold it in our hearts
When stars go out each night,
Remind us where you are..
Let this be our prayer
When shadows fill our day
Guide us with your grace
Give us faith so we'll be safe.
Let this be our prayer,
Just like every child.
We ask that life be kind
And watch us from above.
We hope each soul will find
Another soul to love.
Let this be our prayer,
Just like every child.
Needs to find a place, guide us with your grace
Give us faith so we'll be safe.

To Where You Are - Josh Groban
Who can say for certain
Maybe you're still here
I feel you all around me
Your memories so clear
Deep in the stillness
I can hear you speak
You're still an inspiration
Can it be
That you are mine
Forever love
And you are watching over me from up above
Fly me up to where you are
Beyond the distant star
I wish upon tonight
To see you smile
If only for awhile to know you're there
A breath away's not far
To where you are
Are you gently sleeping
Here inside my dream
And isn't faith believing
All power can't be seen
As my heart holds you
Just one beat away
I cherish all you gave me everyday
'cause you are mine
Forever love
Watching me from up above
And I believe
That angels breathe
And that love will live on and never leave
Fly me up
To where you are
Beyond the distant star
I wish upon tonight
To see you smile
If only for awhile
To know you're there
A breath away's not far
To where you are
I know you're there
A breath away's not far
To where you are

ART CREATED TODAY

Along with working on my SoulJournal today, I made a 2 page spread for a Circle Journal swap I am in, on the cardsrus group I own. This 2 page spread is for Libby's Circle Journal - theme - Inspirational Quotes.

I also had some "play" time today - just mucking around with a couple of luggage tags, some paints including a texture paint, piece of sequin waste as a stencil, script and numbers stamps and an old credit card. The results are below, once I added some images, sayings and fibres. I must make myself take some timeout more often just to PLAY !!

SOUL JOURNAL PAGES

I am a member of a group called SoulJournal and each week Kathryn posts a prompt on her blog for us to interpret

Here are the two latest prompts I have done.

and this one is called Defining Words.

HAPPY BLOGOVERSARY TO ME

Its been a YEAR since I first posted on my blog !!!
So much has happened in the past year - both good and not so good - but through it all with the support of family and friends I made it through. Adversity has made me "stronger" not in a bad way but it has made me more appreciative of all I have in my life - mainly people not things ! And not to "sweat the small stuff." I have truly found Life is a journey not a destination and you need to make the most of every single day.

Anyways enough of my ramblings - smiles - to celebrate my blogoversary I have some "surprise" giveaways . Anyone who leaves a comment, until 10 January on this post, telling me about one New Years Resolution they have made and kept so far, will go into 3 draws to win one of my "surprise" giveaways. Please include your email address in your comment so I can contact you if you win.

SHARING SOME CARDS

As promised, above are some cards I have made over the past few days.

and above is the front page for my circle journal which has a "Sea" theme. Looking forward to working on the other participants themes too.

HAPPY NEW YEAR

Well the last few weeks of 2008 kind of got away from me - busy with family, my craft business and friends.

Just want to take this opportunity to say that I wish you all a 2009 filled with love, laughter, good health and happiness.

2008 had both laughter and tears throughout the year for me as I had to deal with sorrow, adversity and pain as well as happy things that have happened in my life too and I still have so very much to be thankful for as I look forward to the coming year.

Have a lot of cards to scan and upload that I have made recently - so check back later on today when I will hopefully have had a chance to upload some of those.
