Gesso Resist Technique Card

Came across this technique during the week on the split coast stampers site
and thought it would be fun to give it a go.

It's best to prepare the gessoed pages ahead of time so they have time to airdry thoroughly. I used a page out of an old National Geographic magazine.

Was a lot of fun and definitely a technique I will try again in the future.

COUPLE OF NEW CARDS

Couple of cards made today. The dragonfly one is an image challenge and the "laugh out loud" card is for a card swap - theme being using a favourite piece of paper.
Can you see a colour theme linking them both (grins)? Purple being my favourite colour tends to feature a lot in my cardmaking.
Maybe I should challenge myself to use some colours i don't usually use.

The Pink Elephant Challenge #1

There's a new blog in blogland called The Pink Elephant Challenge

http://thepinkelephantchallenge.blogspot.com/

And this is my entry - had a a lot of fun putting this together using my cuttlebug and stamps.

WAITANGI DAY IN NEW ZEALAND

Waitangi Day is a significant day in the history of New Zealand. It is a public holiday held each year on 6 February to celebrate the signing of the Treaty of Waitangi, New Zealand's founding document, on that date in 1840.
And on a lovely sunny Waitangi Day, what better way to spend this day than working on some upcoming swaps in my craft room.

This is a decorated cd for an upcoming swap on the CuttlebugInspiration group which I co-run. And below a challenge card - the theme being "love."
For a swap on another group I have done 3 ATCs today - the theme being "with one stamp" and also a handmade notebook, which was also fun to make.

It's A Wonderful World

No art to share today - I am in the middle of re-organising my craft room - you know how it is - re-organising means it looks heaps messier before it looks better. And then not being able to find anything once its tidy (smiles).

But sharing a couple of photos I took a couple of days ago, instead.
The first photo shows our two cows Blackeye and Fifi in a "tender" moment.
The second photo is taken early one morning from the lounge window - a wild rabbit just happened to be having a rest right outside the window.

On reflecting on my feelings when looking at these photos, it made me think - yes it is a wonderful world.

Till next time, when hopefully I will have my craft room organised and some artwork to share - take care and enjoy your part of this wonderful world too !!
