For my fancy folds challenge I have made a gate fold wedding card - who says wedding cards need to always be cream and white !!
The digi image "Ruperts Wedding"  has been coloured using copic markers and the layered onto purple cardstock. The main cardbase of lime green has been folded into a gate fold card and the two sides of the cadr have purple cardstock layered onto it. On top of that are two strips of white cardstock which have been dry embossed using the swiss dots cuttlebug folder. Embellishments to finish off the card are a small round Good Luck sticker and three small mauve paper flowers which have purple rhinestones in the centre of each.
The digi image is available over at the shop.

Here is my card for the challenge, using one of the flowers and leaves from a set of digi's called  smell the flowers - which can be found here. Its a great set with 13 digi's including word art as well.

I printed out the flower digi image 3 times and the leaf 6 times and coloured using copic markers. I cut them all out and layered different pieces from the 3 flowers to make one 3d flower using foam tape. Then I taped the flower and the leaves together and affixed them onto the doily which I had cut out with my craft robo and coloured using my blending tool and worn lipstick Distress inkpad.  The doily has been placed onto a white piece of card stock which has been edged using the blending tool and worn lipstick Distress inkpad. The white card stock was also dry embossed using the swiss dots cuttlebug folder. Base folded card stock is bazzill pink.
The saying which is also part of the digi set has been edged with the blending tool and worn lipstick Distress inkpad.
This digi set can be used for so many different occasions including Christmas !

SCRAPPING WITH I DID IT CREATIONS

I have LOTS of photos to scrap, as I have not long returned from 10 days in Sydney, visiting with family - including my son and his girlfriend who were over from New Zealand as well.
A great way to get motivated into scrapping your photos is to join in the weekly challenges over on the Scrapping with I Did It Creations blog
This week Challenge #2 is a sketch challenge
and heres my layout using the sketch as inspiration.
I have used a sheet of Clouds 12x12 paper from HOTP and then layered the photo of my husband, son & his girlfriend and myself onto blue and yellow cardstock. Matted the ticket and wording in the same cardstock colours and also using my craftrobo cut out the sun in yellow and Out of This World saying in blue.

Doing the skywalk on top of Sydney's Sky tower was exhilarating, scary,
exciting and fun all rolled up into one !

ONE OF THE NEW SQUIGGLEFLY DIGI'S

I needed to make a birthday card for one of my nephew's young sons and came up with this card, using one of the new Squigglefly digis.

You can find the digi at the Squigglefly shop and its called Meerkat - its by a brand new artist called Joni Walker !

I coloured the images with copics and affixed them on to the cuttlebugged dry embossed green paper background with foam tape. The two stamped sayings are from a set by The Cats Pajamas. The folded cardstock base is dark green.

I now have all the Squigglefly DT members links on my sidebar.

SQUIGGLEFLY CHALLENGE #56

Welcome to this week's Squigglefly challenge - #56 - my first with the Squigglefly Design Team.
And this weeks challenge is an easy one !!!
use ANY Squigglefly image and create anything you want !!
There are always FREEbies available at their store!

Here is my card for the challenge, using one of the cute Shy Bear digi's called Waiting For A Bite - which can be found here

The digi image has been coloured using copic markers. The white base card has a piece of striped background paper affixed to it. On top of that I have layered a small strip of red striped paper along the bottom and right hand edge; a piece of brown card stock has been dry embossed in the cuttlebug and inked with Memento Potters Clay inkpad then torn on the bottom edge and layered this on the left hand side of the card; then the digi has been matted on to a piece of dark green cardstock and affixed to the card.
The saying which is from K&Co sticker pad has been matted onto a piece of dark green cardstock with two dark brown small brads and then affixed to the bottom right hand corner of the card using foam tape.
End result - a perfect card I think for a large number of occasions.
