ROBYNS FETISH WACKY WEDNESDAY AND NEW RELEASE BLOG HOP

Every Wednesday there will be new cards to look at on the DT's blogs and a freebie image to download on Robyn's Fetish challenge blog but this week is a little different - WHAT FUN !!! as this weeks Wacky Wednesday is also a NEW RELEASE Blog hop and the Weekly Challenge all rolled into one!


And this weeks Wacky Wednesday freebie is a surprise digi image - which you will be able to download once you complete the blog hop around the Design Team's blogs. So make sure you go grab that freebie FAST, once you have finished hopping round all the blogs, that Robyn so generously shares each Wednesday as the download links for these are available for one week only.

This weeks Challenge will run from 12:01am USA EST Wednesday, January 13th until 12pm USA EST Wednesday, January 20th.


The challenge is to create a card or paper craft project that has a vintage vibe to it.

You may use any Robyns Fetish image

I received such a cute digi stamps to use for my challenge card - felisefancygirlstamprf

And I went with a soft pink colour theme for my vintage vibe. The digi image has been coloured in using Prismacolour pencils and odourless mineral spirits and layered on to a deep pink piece of textured white core cardstock which I tore around the edges to expose some of the white core. The pink card base has a panel of pink floral decorative paper affixed to the left hand side and then the layered image has been affixed to the card front using light pink small brads and a small heart. Heart shaped ribbon across the bottom of the card front and a Birthday Wishes rubon completes the vintage look.

I decided to use the wonderful whimsy image called bee w flower

I only cheated a tiny bit with the colours - used just a teeny tiny bit of green for my flower stem.
Added a fabric flower and red brad as embellishments.

The Pink Elephant Challenge #48

Its been a while since I had time to play in the Pink Elephant Weekly Challenges but the theme including snowflakes was a good incentive to jump back in and play and make a start on my 2010 Christmas cards at the same time - I am determined to get them back EARLY this year (hmm I seem to recall saying that last year too haha)

Heres a preview of this weeks Wacky Wednesday freebie - Gertrude Elephant

and a card I made using this cute digi image. Gertrude is coloured using prisma coloured pencils and odorless mineral spirits and matted on to turquoise cardstock; background is a cuttlebugged flower theme; embellished with some ribbon and a small flower affixed with a silver brad ; the saying is a rubon.

MY TWO YEAR BLOGVERSARY!

Today is my TWO YEAR blogversary !! So much has happened both good and not so great over the past two years and I am so blessed to have been able to share it through my blog with you all.

The coming year I know already will be one of lots of changes,including settling in to living in a different country but I am trying to embrace it all and just take in each and every moment of every day!

So look out 2010 - I have hit the ground running and have lots of resolutions I am wanting to stick to - including healthy eating and exercise; getting involved in more art and craft related things and sharing more of my artwork on my blog.

As a thank you to anyone who comes and peeks at my blog - if you leave a comment on this post up until 15th January, I will select one name at random and will mail you off some craft goodies from my stash.

DESIGN TEAM CALL

Hi Everyone,
Robyn's Fetish is a digital stamp and sticker company. We are looking to add a few VERY enthusiastic and dynamic crafters to our amazing Design Team to help to promote our fabulous range of products!!
We are looking for members with great coloring skills, team members that are creative and timely, inspiring, friendly, team players and of course to have LOTS OF ENTHUSIASM!!!
As a Design Team member we will require the following from you:
1. Must have own blog that you post to regularly.
2. Participate in weekly challenges, write in detail about the challenge and creation on your blog with a link to the Robyn's Fetish challenge blog.
3. Complete a minimum of 1 card/project per week using RF digital stamps/stickers and post on you blog and online galleries.
4. Actively participate in special group activities such as new release blog hops, Wacky Wednesday Freebies, etc.
5. Add Robyn's Fetish logo, links to your blog as well as links to your fellow Design Team members blogs
6. Actively promote Robyn's Fetish wherever possible.
7. Promote new releases, announcements, contests etc on your blog with a link back to RF Blog.
8. Lots of energy, interest and enthusiasm!

As a member of the Design Team you will receive:
1. An opportunity to play with a generous range of digital stamps & stickers.
2. Will be promoted as a Design Team member on the RF blog and other Design Team members blogs.
3. Your bio will be available on the RF Blog.

The deadline for this call is Saturday, January 16th at midnight. The Design Team term will be 6 months with the ability to re-apply at the end of your term.

Art Journal Pages

Its hot here today and predicted to get even hotter tomorrow, so i have spent the afternoon inside with the air conditioner being my friend (smiles) and have done a couple of pages in my Art Journal.
Mid January just cant come soon enough - a friend has kindly lent me some magazines, stamps and inkpads - but i am soooo missing all my own craft stuff too lol.

Here's the two wonderful new digi images I got to play with for this weeks New Releases

Both images were coloured using copic markers and as I am still waiting for the bulk of my craft supplies to arrive from New Zealand, the remainder of both cards were made with scraps and bits and pieces I managed to squeeze into my suitcase (smiles)

Journal pages

Slowly settling in here in Australia.
Got my priorities right lol - found a good papercraft store and also an art supplies store here in Bendigo so brought a few essentials to keep me going until my things arrive from NZ, which probably won't be till mid January.
Spent this afternoon creating my first Journal Pages, since moving - this double spread was inspired by 2 things - firstly watching some of Teesha Moore's YouTube videos on journalling and secondly when I was sittng having breakfast this morning, I spotted 5 kangaroos bounding down the road next to the house. Had to do a double take to make sure I wasn't seeing things and then smiled as it made me realise how different a view I now have from when I was in NZ.
