Warm Wishes Card

brrrr sure wish I could give you proper "wish wishes" from here but at the moment we are in the middle of winter - lots of frosty mornings but some sunny but cool days too. Of course the rain and wind are never too far away either.

Anyways this "warm wishes" card was fun to make and made me think of hot, tropical days in Hawaii.
If I win the lottery tonight, that's where I would be heading very soon for a vacation!

Supplies used:
Coconut monkee digi (Doodle Dragon)
Copic markers
Brown, white and yellow cardstock
Blue striped patterned paper
Shell embossing folder (Cuttlebug)
Yellow ribbon (Kaszazz)
Warm wishes stamp (Kaszazz)
Potters clay brown inkpad (Memento)

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

This is Life Journal Page

This journal page uses the "paper napkin" background technique
which was kindly shared over at the Art Journal chat
on Outlaw Women's yahoo group. (thanks Robyn)

hmm worked too fast on this one - just grabbing lots of different paints, sprays, stamps etc to be able to provide you with a "supplies used" listing, this time around.

FRIENDS JOURNAL PAGE

Two blog posts in one day, must almost be a record for me - but as it's a rainy ole winter's afternoon - I have been playing with some of the newer supplies I brought at the SENZ papercraft expo which was on in Hamilton last weekend.

Was great catching up with some old friends.
There was also some great free demos and of course LOTS of things for sale.

This journal page has utilised some new supplies I brought there, including Colour sprays, a butterfly template, washi tape, and a lovely quote stamp from Rubbadubbadoo.
As well as using existing supplies I had.

MALE THEMED BIRTHDAY CARD

If you are anything like me, for some reason I find it hard to make male themed birthday cards.
So I was so pleased to find a wonderful "old truck" photo stamp from Darkroom Door recently.
And saw it demo'ed using the white crayon resist technique.
So here is my take, using the stamp and technique.

I love the antique look of the whole card and hope my husband will love it too.

I have entered this card into the following challenge

Until next time,
Happy crafting,

Art Page Swap - Butterflies

On one of the online groups I am a member of, we are having a 4" x 6" Art Page swap.
It's going to be a lot of fun - each person in the swap will create a page for each person in their theme choice. By the time the swap is over, I will have create lots of different themed pages for everyone in the swap and will have received  lots of "dragonflies" themed pages to make into my own special Art Book.
The sign ups are until August 10th and mail out deadline isn't until October 29th but I wanted to make a start - as so far we have 10 participants.

Here's the first page I have completed - the theme is Butterflies.

I hope the recipient likes what I have done.
Will share other themed pages as I get them done.

Until next time,
Happy Crafting

FINALLY - A WORK IN PROGRESS

Finally after over 3 months we took delivery of our personal effects that were shipped back from Australia.
So over the weekend, I have been slowly unpacking boxes and getting a little organised in my new craft room.
It will definitely be a work in progress for some time but I can't wait to get it organised enough to start crafting and creating again !!

So definitely hope to be up and blogging regularly with lots of crafting eye candy very soon !!
Happy crafting too, smiles Wendy

IT'S BEEN AWHILE

<big sighs> Well I know it's been quite awhile since I posted.
There have been major hassles with the shipment of our goods from Australia (which includes all my craft supplies !! ) and even though they were picked up from us on 22 February - they still haven't left Australia !!
After several complaints to the Head office of the removal company, things finally have started to happen - although it looks like delivery could not be until mid June.

With winter arriving fast here, I have brought some yarn and have been keeping busy with some knitting to kerb my papercraft withdrawals. Found some gorgeous yarn from Spotlight and have knitted up some warm fingerless gloves in seed and stocking stitch pattern.

And after a visit to the SPCA, we now have a very welcome addition to our family - meet Sparky !!!

I can't wait to get to creating with all my papercraft supplies again - it will definitely been like Christmas when all our boxes finally arrive !!

until next time - happy crafting !!
