Penguin Christmas Card

It's been a real cold, wintery day here today.
So even though our Christmas is in our summer season here - Christmas card making still brings thoughts of snow and cold and cute penguins too (smiles)
I haven't made a 3d (paper tole) style card for a while and I do find sitting cutting out the pieces and layering them with foam squares, very relaxing.

The 3d sheet used is called
Kem- penguin playtime 3D (Cuddly Buddly)

FRIENDS JOURNAL PAGE

Two blog posts in one day, must almost be a record for me - but as it's a rainy ole winter's afternoon - I have been playing with some of the newer supplies I brought at the SENZ papercraft expo which was on in Hamilton last weekend.

Was great catching up with some old friends.
There was also some great free demos and of course LOTS of things for sale.

This journal page has utilised some new supplies I brought there, including Colour sprays, a butterfly template, washi tape, and a lovely quote stamp from Rubbadubbadoo.
As well as using existing supplies I had.

MALE THEMED BIRTHDAY CARD

If you are anything like me, for some reason I find it hard to make male themed birthday cards.
So I was so pleased to find a wonderful "old truck" photo stamp from Darkroom Door recently.
And saw it demo'ed using the white crayon resist technique.
So here is my take, using the stamp and technique.

I love the antique look of the whole card and hope my husband will love it too.

I have entered this card into the following challenge

Until next time,

Art Page Swap - Butterflies

On one of the online groups I am a member of, we are having a 4" x 6" Art Page swap.
It's going to be a lot of fun - each person in the swap will create a page for each person in their theme choice. By the time the swap is over, I will have create lots of different themed pages for everyone in the swap and will have received  lots of "dragonflies" themed pages to make into my own special Art Book.
The sign ups are until August 10th and mail out deadline isn't until October 29th but I wanted to make a start - as so far we have 10 participants.

Here's the first page I have completed - the theme is Butterflies.

I hope the recipient likes what I have done.
Will share other themed pages as I get them done.

Until next time,
Happy Crafting
Wendy
