Art Journal Pages

Its hot here today and predicted to get even hotter tomorrow, so i have spent the afternoon inside with the air conditioner being my friend (smiles) and have done a couple of pages in my Art Journal.
Mid January just cant come soon enough - a friend has kindly lent me some magazines, stamps and inkpads - but i am soooo missing all my own craft stuff too lol.

Both images were coloured using copic markers and as I am still waiting for the bulk of my craft supplies to arrive from New Zealand, the remainder of both cards were made with scraps and bits and pieces I managed to squeeze into my suitcase (smiles)

Journal pages

Slowly settling in here in Australia.
Got my priorities right lol - found a good papercraft store and also an art supplies store here in Bendigo so brought a few essentials to keep me going until my things arrive from NZ, which probably won't be till mid January.
Spent this afternoon creating my first Journal Pages, since moving - this double spread was inspired by 2 things - firstly watching some of Teesha Moore's YouTube videos on journalling and secondly when I was sittng having breakfast this morning, I spotted 5 kangaroos bounding down the road next to the house. Had to do a double take to make sure I wasn't seeing things and then smiled as it made me realise how different a view I now have from when I was in NZ.

CHRISTMAS CARDS

Sorry I havent "blogged" for a little while - had a good excuse - MOVING COUNTRIES - still very much settling in here in Australia, but wanted to take some time out from getting used to the much warmer climate, looking for a place to live and settling in to a shared house situation in the short term, to make some cards (albeit with limited craft supplies I managed to squeeze into my suitcase - the rest of our personal effects (and my craft goodies) won't arrive here till mid January !).

NEW RELEASES COMING 13 NOV

Friday 13th November will be the launch date for some new Robyn's Fetish digi stamp designs. To celebrate these new releases we will be having a blog hop and a challenge for you where you could win some of the new releases.

IMPORTANT NEWS ABOUT ROBYN'S FETISH

The entire Robyn’s Fetish web account was attacked by hackers, they destroyed the shop, Robyn’s personal blog, the homepage and the Forum. Due to Robyn’s hard work the shop is up and running again and the forum has been started from scratch at a new web address HERE

It has been discovered that they got in through Robyn’s blog so she has decided to start a new blog HERE

They also decided to attack the company through blogger too and have deleted both the tutorial blog and the DT blog, thankfully they didn’t get to the challenge blog. In light of the two blogs being deleted Robyn and Donna have decided not to re-create them and to instead concentrate on the forum.

ART JOURNAL PAGES

For some months now, as part of an Art Journal swap on the yahoo group Blissfully_Art_Journaling, Leanne and I have been exploring lots of themes and doing 2 double page spreads in both our own and each others journals.

This time round we delved into "self portraits" and these are my two double spreads I did in Leanne's Journal.

FINISHED MY AFGHAN

I started a knitted afghan when I was away on vacation in the States and finished it a few days ago. I love how it turned out and I am also quite proud of the fact I managed to crochet the edging as this is the first thing I have managed to crochet.

ON THE ROAD AGAIN lol

Singing Willie Nelson's song here as I type - and somewhat tongue in cheek singing - I just can't wait to get on the road again lol.
Yes we are moving AGAIN. And just for something different - moving COUNTRIES !
Since we got back from our 2 month vacation in the States, Doug has been unable to find work here in New Zealand : (
Anyways to cut a long story a little shorter - he was offered a job in Bendigo (Victoria, Australia) - and a two weeks trial for the job. This was 3 weeks ago and he has decided he will be staying on permanently.
So I will be moving over there permanently towards the end of next month too.
As you can imagine there is so much to organise/finalise here and its a lot for me to organise on my own.
Life is never dull - is it ?
Sometimes its down right scarey and stressful..... (soft smiles)
Will definitely still be in touch until I go and again, once we find somewhere to live over there, get settled in and get back online as soon as possible !

HALLOWEEN COMES BEFORE CHRISTMAS

I was going to start on my christmas cards today but got waylaid when i found a lovely digital Halloween image online at http://simplyinger.blogspot.com/

and made a halloween card instead.

The cute child image (from The Greeting Farm) was coloured with Gamsol and Prisma coloured pencils. Saying stamp is from Hero Arts.
